Sonesta Osorno in Osorno

Good: Due to airline flight reschedule, we arrived later than expected -- this was not an issue, as my reservation was still in place. Our room was very large, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was outstanding, with so many choices of what to eat as well as healthy eating choices. And when I asked for "cream" for my tea, I was given the real thing, not whole milk or half-and-half -- and they remembered this every subsequent morning!!! Such a wonderful consideration! The Manager came to our (Raquel) table, introduced herself and was always present as we were coming and going for our visits with our friends. The cleaning staff was a great help, especially with the repositioning of the shower head and how to reset the thermostat. This was also followed up almost immediately from what we assumed to be the floor manager to be certain that we were comfortable. My friend and I are "mobility impaired" and it was a very, very pleasant surprise to have such close personal attention paid to our needs., even at checkout. We have never had such positive personal attention paid to us at any hotel we have stayed in the past 15+ years. And the price quoted was the actual cost for our stay -- AMAZING! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Bad: 1) Only 220 volt outlets were available. We had forgotten to bring an adapter with us, but the front desk had one for us immediately upon request.; 2) Only one USB charging slot was available anywhere, and that was on the router that connected to the TV set. As there were no other outlets for USB charging, it was quite a challenge to recharge our cell phones, my hearing aids recharge device and 2 other small devices we have to carry with us due to our mobility issues; 3) our room faced the rising sun, which really heated the room during all 3 days of clear weather and the cooling system could not overcome that heat. We reported the issue to the floor manager and he said he would contact the engineering department to see what could be done.
